2013: Nanticoke Generating Station decommissioned and ends operations
2018: Demolition of site continues with planned collapse of two stacks

At the end of February, the Ontario Power Generation Nanticoke Stack Demolition made headlines across Ontario. This feat was made possible by a dedicated team from Delsan Aim, Rakowski Cartage & Wrecking and DST Consulting Engineers.

Ray Jambakhsh, Chief Technical Advisor (DST Consulting Engineers), reflects on the project: “You prepare for weeks, even months, for an event like that – and it’s all over in less than ten seconds. It was a success, all around.”
