Meet Sari Nordman, a multidisciplinary Finnish-American artist whose work lives at the intersection of environmental activism, traditional handcraft, and community engagement.

Her powerful project “Anxiety” reimagines the Finnish ryijy rug using recycled plastic, transforming waste into vibrant, healing works of art. Supported by a Finlandia Foundation National Cultural Grant, Anxiety Tower was featured during New York City Climate Week 2024 at South Street Seaport, sparking conversation around sustainability and emotional resilience.
