Depeche Mode - Songs Of Faith & Devotion [org. Vinyl '93]

my vinylrecording of Songs Of Faith And Devotion from an original english '93 pressing !
*-no copyright infringement intended.., just couldn't resist to make a 'video' out of this great record-*
[Of course I would immediately remove the video/recording from my channel, if needed.]

The org. CD pressing from '93 sounds very well also (very clear, dynamic,..).
But at this cleaned UK Vinyl I like(d) especially track no.1, 5, 7 and 10 (and maybe some few more) even a little bit more, because s.th. like "I Feel You" sounds more bold (and present), with still every tiny noticeable detail in there at every track as on the good org. CD mix.

-short note: In the video you see just the 2007 remaster vinyl spinning on the platter, but for the sound you hear I used/recorded -before 'shooting' the video- the original (in the end 'better') pressing from '93 !-, -Sry for the video/audio being a bit asynchron at the end of each side, the Vinyl in the video was just spinning slightly too quick, so each side optically ends a bit before my/the real sound-recording was over. ;)-

-Before recording a track, I had adjusted the input gain volume-level of the pre-amp manually for each track as high as it could be for each track without clipping at any section of the track. The only point with some clipping/overgain at my recording is the loud 'gong' at the end of 'Get The Balance Right'.-

just some rating:
I do own three pressings of that record [the org. 'english pressing' from '93 shown in the first two pics and used for the audio you hear.., the spanish Sani Records pressing from '93 and the Remaster Pressing from 2007]. The english pressing I like most, is the best among them, because it delivers/carries/has most depth into the soundscape.
The Sani Records Pressing of '93 is about the same of course, but is of less quality in terms of the Vinyl-material (and/or the pressing procedure itself) and so sounds less deep (a bit metallic, much "SSSssss" to hear at some tracks).
The Remaster Edition lacks a bit at the instrumental stereo effects and also at the original hall regarding the vocals. On the original recording/master from '93 you can hear that bathroom-hall here and there at Condemnation for example, those specific hall seems maybe to be cutted out on the remaster edition unfortunately, beside this the vocals itself sound good either. But I have to criticise s.th. they did to Judas: The vocals were embedded so nicely -delivering a magical atmoshere- on the original master of '93, which seems to got lost on the Remaster Edition (so Judas Vocals sounding a bit boring and flat there, like being just set pure onto the sound without embedding them into the whole -song and sound-).
