Intel Stock Was Beaten Down So I Bought $50,000 Worth! | INTC, AMD, Stocks, Investing

Outside of the dividend portfolio, I felt Intel stock was too good a deal to ignore, so I bought $50,000 worth in my TD Ameritrade spec account. I've seen everyone in articles and news that intel is a sell or they sold their stock. Is INTC a buy or a sell?

I looked into Intel (INTC) and why it sold off so bad after earnings. It really all had to do with the delay of the 7nm chips They moved the timeline back 6 months and that was already after moving it back 6 months. It sounded like on the earnings call they ran into trouble but have identified the issue. Their backup strategy at this point would be to use a 3rd party manufacturing lab. They are ramping up production of there 7nm Tiger Lake chips due to the demand for those products which they did not expect. The profit margins at Intel is what keeps Intel on top over AMD. AMD cannot compete in that aspect.

Buying nearly $50,000 worth and then also turning around and selling to open 10 calls to protect the downside a bit.
