This Harry Potter 2 (PC) Custom Map is about some pretty EXTREME POTION MAKING! - by Dmitry "Lemon"

I was in for quite a surprise being told that there is actually one map by the legendary Harry Potter 2 (PC) Custom Mapper Dmirty "Lemon" left that I hadn't previously played. It might have been because it was advertised with "Russian only" on the Harry Potter custom maps website so I kind of disregarded it but the language barrier really wasn't much of a big deal for this map at all so we could dive in and enjoy it the same way we would any other map. So long story short, Lemon has build some of the most creative and out there maps of all time in this game and was sooo ahead of his time doing that with the old modding tools and without the new engine which obviously meant we were in for a treat once again...

And the map certainly did not disappoint from the get go, super nice and pretty design and the use of custom textures copied over from another oldschool game gave the entire design a more realistic and dark fantasy look compared to the normal Harry Potter 2 (PC) textures. So you really felt like you were going through a dangerous dungeon were absolutely anthing could happen. And it ended up being a very visually pleasing decent into caverns filled with lava and dangerous trials in order to collect all potion ingredients for Snape. And you could only reach the "true ending" by actually finding everything, did we manage to look for secrets that well though?

As per usual with Lemon maps this one had a stunning design, a great concept and super interesting ideas for some of the segments. And one thing I want to praise especially, because he often messed them up and made them essentially impossible to find in some of his previous maps, are the secrets! Super well hidden but still always indicated and possible to find which made looking for them super super fun and rewarding, that's exactly how I like my secrets in custom maps! Unfortunately, as per usual on his maps as well, not everything ended up being super polished and softlock proof. I feel like this map could have done with a good couple of hours of more playtesting and a couple more savebooks so the flow of the entire thing wouldn't have been interrupted by stupid things happening constantly. Overall I really enjoyed this map though and I want to give it a strong 8.5/10 for the vibes, visuals and the concept. Very cool map and I am happy that I finally played through it now!
