BREAKING: Lions Sign CB Amik Robertson To A Two-Year, $9.25 million Deal

The Detroit Lions remained active on the second day of the NFL's legal tampering period.

On Tuesday, reports indicated that the Lions have agreed to a deal with cornerback Amik Robertson. It's a two-year, $9.25 million deal worth up to $10.75 million with incentives per NFL Network.

Robertson has four career interceptions, including two in the last two seasons. The Las Vegas Raiders selected him in the fourth round in 2020. According to Pro Football Focus, Robertson had a 63.4 overall defensive grade and a 65.8 coverage grade.

General manager Brad Holmes has been calculated in his moves in free agency thus far, devoting plenty of resources to retaining his own players.

Detroit made two external moves on the first day of the tampering period, signing defensive end Marcus Davenport and acquiring cornerback Carlton Davis in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Additionally, the team re-signed Graham Glasgow to a new three-year deal but lost Jonah Jackson, who inked a three-year, $51 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams.

Holmes entered the offseason with the eighth-most available cap space. Glasgow's new contract is worth $20 million over three years, while Davenport's is a one-year, $6.5 million base salary commitment that can pay out as much as $10.5 million.

As for Davis, he is entering the final year of his contract and is owed $14.5 million in 2024.
