Daniel 11:20–28 Explained | Antiochus Epiphanes and the Rise of Deception

Daniel 11:20–28 introduces one of the most dangerous rulers in biblical history: Antiochus IV Epiphanes. He does not rise through honest inheritance or open strength. He gains power through flattery, deception, political intrigue, and manipulation.

In this Bible study, we walk through Daniel 11:20–28 and look at Seleucus IV, Antiochus Epiphanes, the murder of the high priest, the use of wealth and bribery, the campaign against Egypt, and the first major turn of Antiochus’ rage against Israel and the holy covenant.

This passage shows how deception prepares the way for persecution. Antiochus becomes one of the clearest shadows of the final enemy of God’s people, giving us a serious warning about false peace, political manipulation, and the danger of trusting human power.

My goal is to study Scripture carefully, watch the world with discernment, and point everything back to God’s Word.
