I Hacked the Pecron F3000 Expansion Battery Port to Run on Server Rack Batteries & Twice the Solar

I hacked the Pecron F3000 expansion battery port with a DIY cable to connect two 51.2V 100Ah server rack batteries — then ran 3,200 watts of solar into the system.

Here's exactly how it performed, folks. I'm not gonna sugarcoat anything. This video shows the complete build: 1,600W of solar running directly into the Pecron F3000 through its native port, plus a second 1,600W array running through a Victron 150/35 MPPT charge controller into the server rack battery bank — connected back to the Pecron via a DIY hacked expansion battery cable. That gives us 13kWh of total capacity and twice the solar the Pecron is rated for out of the box.

If you've been wondering whether you can push the Pecron F3000 beyond its factory limits with server rack batteries and a serious solar array, I'll give you the honest answer on what worked, what to watch out for, and whether this kind of setup is worth doing.
