Anukulchandra Thakur was born into a Brahmin family in Himaitpur, Pabna. From a young age, he displayed a keen interest in spirituality and religious practices. His mother, Manomohini Devi, was deeply religious, and her influence played a significant role in shaping his spiritual outlook.

He received his early education at Himaitpur School and later completed his secondary studies at Pabna Institution. He enrolled in Calcutta Medical College for higher education but left before completing his studies to dedicate himself to spiritual and social work.
