Mobility is the foundation of human progress. But how do we ensure access to mobility for the greatest number of people, using the least amount of natural resources? And can we do this without burdening the already overloaded charging infrastructure?

To us, the answer is simple: the sun. With the sun as our ultra-powerful and cheap source of renewable energy, we envision a future for mobility in which everybody has access to it, without the need for charging stations or plugs. For Liz, sustainability is a green thread in her story. She is convinced that the combination of sustainability and business can save the world. During her two MSc’s, it became clear to her that the challenges in society fuel innovation. It is a dream come true to have the first long-range solar cars on the road this summer.

During her adventure at Lightyear she experiences what it is like to contribute to the future of mobility: thinking ahead, always looking for opportunities and constantly moving at maximum speed. With a head for business and a heart for the world.

Gearte Nynke is working on the sustainable future of mobility powered by the sun. She fel in love with the concept of solar cars when she was 20 and became part of the solarteam in Twente, the east of The Netherlands. We participated in the world championship for solar cars.

After finalizing this project she is super happy to proceed this journey at Lightyear. Here we enable the dream clean mobility for everyone everywhere.
