Method 1: Basic Physical Checks
- Inspect drive, cables, and ports for damage; ensure steady power supply.
- Swap USB/Thunderbolt cables/ports, connect directly to Mac (skip hubs/adapters).
- Test on iPad/another Mac for hardware reset to force fresh mounting, fixing external drive not working issues.

Method 2: Reveal Hidden Drives in Finder
- Open Finder and go to Settings → General/Sidebar.
