How to take log of negative number? An Example using Stata
Log of negative number is not possible mathematically but for econometrics research, sometimes we have to take log of negative numbers which creates missing values. Therefore, we take log of a variable with negative values and rescaling it to avoid the missing values. This video tutorial explains, how to take log of a variable with negative number in a variable. Note, we are providing private online courses in Econometrics Research using Stata, Eviews, R and Minitab. These short tutorials are part of the lessons which we edit to silence and share with our audience for free. The original videos containd discussions and questions answers between students and instructors of the course in Econometrics and Stata or Eviews. Enroll for a private online course towards your PhD research in Economics or Finance.
