ArcBrush 1.0: The Node-Based Image Editor (Free, Mac, Windows, and Linux)
The node-based image editor. Free download for Windows, macOS, and Linux at https://arcbrush.com
If you've ever exported the same thing twice, this is for you.
ArcBrush is a full image editor built around a node graph instead of a layer stack. 79 nodes covering masking, compositing, paint, roto, text, warps, filters, keyers, color grading, AI, and export. Every operation is a node, every workflow is non-destructive, and every parameter stays live forever. Open a file six months later, change any step, and only the affected nodes re-evaluate.
What you can do with it:
• Non-destructive masked compositing. Remove a background (by hand or with AI), refine the edge, drop onto a new backdrop, color grade the whole thing. Change any step later without redoing the rest.
• Isolate any single adjustment (one curve, one blur, one crop) and tune it without touching anything upstream or downstream.
• Design a filter chain or color grade once, then reuse it across new images by swapping the source.
• Paint, roto, text, and warps as first-class composable nodes rather than flattened pixels.
• Define a named palette and produce N recolored variants from one graph run, with every highlight and shadow preserved. 200 icons in 12 color tiers is one click, not a week.
• Save the whole workflow as a portable .arcb file (human-readable JSON) and hand it to a teammate on the other OS.
On AI: it's in the graph, not running the graph. AI on your terms, not the other way around. The 4 AI nodes (Remove Background, Text to Image, Image Edit, Upscale) use credits. 10 free credits on signup. No subscription. Credits never expire.
Local editing is free forever. That's 75 of the 79 nodes. Introductory credit packs: $10 for 350 credits, $20 for 800, $40 for 1,800. Launch intro pricing only.
Under the hood: native C++. Not a web app. Not Electron. Not a wrapper. 14.9 MB on Windows, 22.1 MB on macOS, 11.0 MB on Linux. GPU accelerated where it matters.
