VARANASI INDIA TRAVEL VLOG

Varanasi is the holy city of the Hindus. We float along the river in a boat, trying to release a diya which is a small lantern surrounded by flowers.

There are small ceremonies happening along the whole of the river. Paying homage to the gods, and to their own ancestors. As this is the last stop for Hindus having their cremated ashes spread in the river.

Taking an elevated view of the river before heading to the Ganga Aarti. A ceremony where Brahmans offer holy mantras through fire to the gods and the Ganga.

We eat some blessed sweets before seeing the locals touch the blessed cows.
