The first episode of kitchen stories was SO much fun recording that we needed more time to highlight and talk more with Sonia Garcia-Mendez (aka La Pina en la Cocina blog). She shared her stories of how her family learned from the LA Times to cook "American style" Thanksgiving dinner when they first migrated into the USA from Mexico via LA & Dallas. We chatted some more on her hair, which has become her signature, a possible cookbook in the future, her kitchen organizational tips (pots, platters, accessories to stage her food, and much more...

Sonia's gift of cooking started in her youth, like so many of us but her blog stems from her desire to document her family's AUTHENTIC Mexican recipes. "Cooking is literally my therapy", said, Sonia, and the same for her followers. As she continues to rise to a WELL deserved social media "fame" with her almost 50k+ followers. This doesn't come easy, "it takes work!" But I love what I do", said Sonia.
