I bet you that you can. But I bet that it's not the traditional way that you approach testing, and that makes you uncomfortable.

I look at testing as a way to build confidence, and that means I don't look at one way of testing being universally the best.

There are patterns we can use to extract JUST the logic we've touched and test that in isolation. And while this doesn't prove our system will work perfectly, it can leave us with more confidence than before we got there.
