Coin Cast - Episode 10 - Interview with BAT / Brave browser developer Luke Mulks

Here are the questions we will cover in this interview....

1. What is your background? Do you do any trading?

2. What is BAT in 1 minute? Is it privately owned, public, open source?

3. What is the BAT governance model?

4. What are the primary differences between competitors like AdEx and BAT?

5. Can you explain the relationship between Brave and BAT? Are they developed side-by-side by the same team or do separate teams work on each product? How many devs work on each product?

6. For anyone wanting to focus on earning BAT with their browsers, what is the best way to do that, and are there any plans to directly connect to bank accounts or other ERC20 wallets for browser payments? We have heard some complaints about UpHold being difficult to use.

7. One of my favorite features in Brave is the privacy and TOR integration. However, privacy integrations beg the question: how can Brave compete with facebook or google on ads when my browsing is private?

8. Browser preference is basically religious, so Brave has to have extreme value for the user. Since Brave is based on the Chrome architecture, could Google easily integrate (maybe even in an attempt of hostile take-over) the Brave value add-ons and simply integrate BAT into Chrome? Is there any plans to make BAT browser-agnostic?

9. Concerns aside, Brave is having a storm of adoption with millions of new users. How is Brave advertising right now?

10. What is the major incentive for an advertiser to switch from facebook/google and advertise through Brave?

11. What is the process for an advertiser to make the switch to Brave?

12. Let's say Crypto Traders Pro wants to advertise on the Brave browser. What are the steps we would need to take to target cryptocurrency investors and traders? Do we set a specific amount of BAT per month and that determines how many people we reach?

13. At a glance, advertising management sounds like one of the best possible use-cases for a blockchain. However, we have seen a few projects look to move to Stellar or other blockchains with some of the limitations of Ethereum shown in the Crypto Kitties Congestion of 2017. Would BAT ever consider switching to another blockchain? Or is BAT sticking with Ethereum for the long haul?

14. What’s next on the timeline?

15. Is there anything you would like to change about the world’s perception of BAT or is there anything we have missed?

16. *Take some questions from Live views & the Crypto Traders community*
