Jackie is such an amazing Mother! Even with Sandy & Luna being seven weeks old and quite large in size, she continues to protect and take care of them. There were strong wind gusts in Big Bear this evening and the temperature dropped making it cold overnight. Jackie came to the nest to brood Sandy & Luna sensing the weather changes & her maternal instinct to keep them warm.

While on the nest, Jackie did happen to put a stick on Luna's back twice! Jackie stood very close to her eaglets sharing her warmth and then she tucked her head in to sleep. Fiona was out & about (although she was not seen, Jackie heard her scurry on the nest). Jackie wing slapped at Fiona 07:22 - as the sound of her almost 8 foot wings hit the nest & sticks. Fiona must have gone further down the nest for awhile.

Luna gets up & is fidgeting around - that means a PS is coming and a squeak! Then Luna goes back next to Sandy and Jackie. The wind becomes suddenly blustery and Jackie stands closer to her eaglets protecting them in the only way she knows how ♥ When the wind died down a bit, it was Sandy's turn to get up and PS - and notice she had a slight squeak too ♥ Jackie's motherly instincts are beautiful to watch as she spends the night on the nest with her almost grown eaglets! Perhaps she knows that they will be leaving her soon. Thank you for watching!
