Golds best close ever | Miners looking v. strong | Silver still asleep

In this video, I quickly recap the DXY and yields alongside gold, silver, as well as some of the general miner ETFs (GDX, GDXJ and SILJ), as well as some individual miners in my portfolio.

Since Fridays close, the USD has looked very strong which has kept a small lid on gold and the miners especially. Not today though. Looks like the metals and miners dont care too much about the potential small breakout in DXY. Yields are underperforming the USD, which is interesting, as usually they correlate a lot closer.

In the metals world, silver is continuing to underperform gold. I think that changes once silver closes above $26. But at least we have the miners outperforming silver and even gold today. They had an even better technical close than gold.

In short, things are looking more bullish, but we need to keep an eye out on DXY and even the general markets - you never know which way a surprise market crash can send the gold/silver equities.
