Earl Lewis & the Channels "That's My Desire" Live - 1997
Earl Lewis and the Channels (Joe Rivera, Luther Hudson, Jack Brown) perform the group's 1957 recording, "That's My Desire", for a P.O.R.C.C. audience in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 21, 1997. The Channels were familiar with “That’s My Desire”, written in 1931 by Helmy Kresa and Carroll Loveday, from Frankie Laine’s 1947 hit version. Selected by Gone label owner George Goldner and arranged by Richard Barrett, who played piano on the recording, the tune was completed in just three takes.
