June 9 2019 Massive Storm North Dallas, Texas

On June 9th 2019, we had a very destructive but short lived storm blast through Dallas with hurricane strength winds in excess of 70 mph. We charted 16.00" / hr of rainfall, 1.83" of accumulated rain in about 30 minutes and the streets in our neighborhood were literally rivers, cresting beyond the sidewalks and into people's lawns.

This is a compilation of videos and stills taken on June 9th and 10th, before, during and after the storm.

We have fences, trees and debris spread for miles. Traffic lights were and still are out for miles. Vast areas of residential and commercial customers have no power. At the peak, over 300,000 people were without power.

The rain was hitting our storm windows with such intensity we couldn't see anything through them and it was vibrating the front of the house.

We are calling this event Almost-Hurricane Fred
