Surgeon Reacts To RON HUNT DRILL INJURY: How Did He Survive? Injuries Explained
Today, orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor Dr. Chris Raynor reacts to the Ron Hunt drill injury as part of his "injuries explained" series. How did he survive? It's crazy! Yes, Ron Hunt is a construction worker who fell from a ladder on the job and had a very large drill bit pierce through his skull. With the exception of losing an eye and some other nerve damage, Ron didn't suffer any further damages. It really was a miracle, hence why they call Ron the "miracle man".
Addendum: A viewer pointed out a mistake about the use of an MRI in the imaging of this patient. Normally, in the case of a foreign body, this would be performed. However, in this case, since the drill bit was metal, this would not be performed.
