Deciding whether to speak global English or a specific variety of English (such as American English or British English) is necessary in order to focus your energy on the right aspects of your accent and pronunciation. We'll discuss what you'll need to work on in order to speak more clearly and be more easily understood by other non-native English speakers as well as native English speakers.

Global English refers to how English is spoken by non-native English speakers, and is sometimes called world English, international English, global Englishes, or world Englishes. "Native" English refers to the many varieties of English that are spoken as first, primary, or official languages in many English speaking countries around the world.
