Unique Stair Neighborhoods In San Francisco's Backstreets
Among other things, San Francisco is known as the hilly city. There are 48 named hills, many of them running up and down various neighborhoods. Some hills are so steep that instead of a paved road, the early city founders built stairways instead. And yes, there are houses located on some of these blocks. They are a very unique hallmark of the city and are fascinating to check out for those wanting to see a more off-the-beaten track version of SF. Here are my top 7!
