Tom Sturridge reads some of the best advice ever committed to paper

Tom Sturridge reads American author Henry James' letter to his friend the essayist Grace Norton. It contains some of the greatest, most compassionate advice ever put to paper.
In July of 1883, novelist Henry James received a worryingly emotional letter from his friend Grace Norton, who, following a recent death in the family, had become depressed. James, no stranger to depression himself, responded with this stunning letter.

Originally read for Letters Live at the Freemason's Hall, London in 2015.
