The Wayana are Indigenous people of Caribbean origin, living in the immense tropical forests of Guiana highlands in South America. Hunting is still the main resource to feed the village.

The Wayana hunters know and respect Mother Nature because they are part of it. They don’t hunt out of pleasure, but out of necessity. Mimisiku is without any doubt one of the last Wayana hunters.

The Wayana were the first inhabitants of Guiana and now, they're the last of a vanishing culture.
