The Galaxy Team's Entry Trial, Choose First Pokemon and Trainer Battle, Obsidian Fieldlands, Arceus

Mission starts off with us still talking with Captain Cyllene and she has now given us our next mission, "The Galaxy Team's Entry Trial". We are then told about Checking Missions & Requests. We can do this by pressing the Y button! We learn that there are Missions that must be done, and requests that are optional. Professor Laventon explains how I must pass the test so that we can fill up Pokedex data. We then must "Choose a Pokemon to be your first partner in preparation for your trial". We choose Cyndaquil for first partner Pokemon! Once we head outside we meet for the first time, Volo of the Ginkgo Guild. We also are able to have our first Pokemon Trainer Battle, in Pokemon Legends Arceus, with him. He explains how we will lose if our Pokemon's HP gets to 0! He battles us with his Lv. 5 Togepi. Togepi goes down once we use Cyndaquil's Quick Attack enough times! After we defeat Volo's Togepi, our Cyndaquil gains a Level. We also learn about Pokemon Moves. We learn that, sometimes when our Pokemon gains a level, we are able to change our Pokemon's moves by going into our satchel, choosing the Pokemon we want, then selecting "Change Moves" option. He then gives us a Potion and wishes us success before departing. Once done, we are to go to the Obsidian Fieldlands. Our mission is to catch a Bidoof, a Starly, and a Shinx. Here we learn about Focusing in the Field holding down ZL, when attempting to catch a Pokemon. We then learn how to Crouch when approaching unaware Pokemon. Crouching allows us to catch Pokemon by surprise. We learn that we are able to "Take Cues by Focusing". When we use ZL we are able to see how easy a Pokemon is to catch. The more arrows it has, the easier the Pokemon is to catch. The less arrows, the harder it is to catch. Once we catch our Pokemon and fulfill the mission, we are able to head back to the Village and officially join the Survey Corps. We get our official Survey Corps uniform from Captain Cyllene and then we go and meet Commander Kamado
