Abandoned Grand Canyon Red Butte Airport
The original Grand Canyon airport has been abandoned since the 1960s, but during its heyday it was responsible for the first commercial air traffic in the region. In 1928, Charles Lindbergh stopped there and posed for a picture outside the main hanger. Today the hanger still stands, but sadly this building has fallen into disrepair, as has the entire historic site.
