This video shows a dry cement and sand mixing process commonly used in traditional and small-scale construction work. In this stage, cement powder and sand are mixed thoroughly without adding water, creating a uniform dry blend before further use.

The process begins by placing sand on the ground, followed by evenly spreading cement on top. Using a shovel, the materials are turned and mixed repeatedly until the color and texture become consistent. This step is essential to ensure proper bonding strength once water is added later.

Dry mixing allows better control over material distribution and helps prevent weak spots in the final mortar. Although this manual method depends heavily on physical labor and experience, it is highly practical for job sites with limited access to machinery.

In terms of productivity, dry cement–sand mixing is slower compared to mechanical mixers but offers lower operational costs and flexibility. It is best suited for small construction tasks such as masonry work, plaster preparation, minor repairs, and residential projects where precision and material efficiency are more important than speed.
