Lend-A-Shoulder Volunteers Enable Independence with Mobility | FIRST IMPACT

With movement being restricted for patients in palliative care, access often becomes an issue that can limit the extent to which they experience the world.

In a truly inspiring effort, 135 volunteers from our Toll and Transit Department, led by Srikant Kurup, Head of Toll and Transit Payments, got together in Kollam and collaborated with Mother Teresa Palliative Care to build 28 wheelchairs for patients that suffer from terminal illnesses.

This initiative not only provided a renewed sense of independence to the patients but also aimed to raise awareness about the vital need for mobility solutions in society.
