Demo:
1. BS6 Complaint Engine: It's the most important upgrade in Activa 6G. Now, its engine is BS6 compliant. It is more enviornment friendly with less pollution.

2. Engine Power: Engine power is 110 CC
The engine on the Activa 6G is an all-new affair

3. Engine Sound:The 6G engine is extremely refined and the engine is very quite. Sometime, you may feel that engine isn't running at all.

4. Milage: company claims something around 55km/liter.

5. Design: Activa 6G has some minor facelifts. It looks sharper from the front due to sleek headlight and chrome accent. Front mudguard is less rounded. Side panel is also bit sharper towards the rear.
Rear design is completely new with new wider tail light. Great part is that scooty still has its metal body.Only the headlight and few areas are made of plastic.

6. Dimensions: New Activa 6G is longer by 72mm while its width has been reduced slightly by 13 mm. Height has also been reduced by 2 mm.

7. Wheel: 6G has a bigger 12 inch wheel at front. It also has more ground clearance. It's a tubless tyre but the wheel is not alloy.

8. Fuel tank: It's capacity is 5.3 litre, same as earlier. However, there is a very good change in the position of fuel lid.

9. Underseat storage: The storage is same as early 18 litre. You can easily keep a medium size helmet here. But, features like usb charger and boot light are missing.

10. Key Positions:
You need to first open the key slot by putting key ring's plastic hole like this. It's a good feature to keep the lock safer.

Next, you can insert key and move to following positions:
a. First position is handle lock. You need to keep your handle towards left to lock the handle. Press the key & move towards right to unlock handle.
b. Next position is OFF.
c. Next key point is Fuel/Seat. After moving key to this point, you can use the Fuel and seat switches on the right side. By pressing Fuel, fuel tank will open and the rear and petrol pump guy can fill the petrol without you getting down of scooter. So, conveneint. By pressing seat switch, you can open the seat and use the storage space.
d. Next position is On. After moving key here, you can start the engine.

11. Starting Engine: To start engine, click this red button once and engine will start automatically. To stop the engine, you can click this red button here and it will stop it, so you don't have to move the key to stop.

12. Now, lets look at more switches. Here is the switch to deem the light low or high beam can be set. You can also use the same button for pass light. There are buttons for left, right indicator. There is a button for horn. There is no switch to turn on or off the headlight, so as soon as you move the key to ON position, the light with glow automatically.

13. Headlight: It has white LED light which gives good visibility. LED light also consumes less power. However, in the standard basic version which is couple of thousands cheaper, you will get yellow halogen light. I will recommend to always go for LED light version.

Cons:
A few things which I didn't like in the Activa 6G:
1. Battery shouldn't drain out, if key is left in ON position by default. There should be some intelligence to switch off light after 2-3 minutes when the engine is stopped.

2. Missing Alloy wheel and Disk brake

3. Dashboard can be enhanced with digital view.

4. Missing Choke button: There is no choke button which was very useful to start bike during winter season. I'm assuming BS6 engine doesn't need Choke that's why it's removed.

5. The hangers are open hook, so there is a risk of bag falling down. They should have given a lock in the hangers.

6. Accelleration: It's pick up is little lazy.

7. USB charing & boot light options have been removed compared to earlier versions. Not a big issue, I'm ok without it.

6. Price: Price seems bit higher by 10-15% compared to competitor. May be it's because of brand value and top selling product.


Verdict:
At the end, my verdict is that Honda Activa 6G is an excellent choice for city ride. It's automatic, BS6 environment friendly and trustworthy with 20 years of leading the market. It's also popular among all genders, age groups and income groups. More than 41% of scooters in India are Honda Activa. It's resale value is also quite high. So, if you want to go with a well proven scooty, don't hesitate in going with new Honda Activa 6G.
