In this gentle and heartfelt Ignatian meditation, we enter into the words of Jesus from John 13:31–35, spoken on the night of His betrayal—a moment of intimacy, sorrow, and eternal command. As we listen, we are invited to sit with Christ in the upper room, to feel the weight of His love, and to hear the new commandment that defines Christian discipleship:
“Love one another as I have loved you.”

Through prayerful reflection, silence, and imaginative contemplation, this meditation leads us to examine how we love—and how we are called to love more deeply, more honestly, and more like Christ.

🌿 O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, teach me to love as You love. Help me to recognize You in the faces of those I struggle to accept. Soften my heart where it is closed, and expand it where it is afraid. Let my love be patient, selfless, and true—rooted not in feeling, but in the decision to serve and forgive.
