Handel: Let the Bright Seraphim (from Samson) - Radoslava Vorgić, Justin Bland, New Trinity Baroque

Radoslava Vorgić, a Serbian-born soprano and baroque music specialist, sings G.F. Handel's famous aria "Let the Bright Seraphim" from his oratorio "Samson" (HWV 57), with the American baroque trumpet player Justin Bland and New Trinity Baroque, directed from the harpsichord by Predrag Gosta. This recording is from the concert performance at the 13th @Belgrade Early Music Festival, presented on June 26, 2018 at the Synagogue in Novi Sad (Serbia).

LYRICS:
Let the bright seraphim in burning row,
Their loud, uplifted angel trumpets blow.
Let the cherubic host in tuneful choirs,
Touch their immortal harps with golden wires.
Let the bright seraphim...

ABOUT US
-----------------------------------------------------
Hailed by the critics as “defined, gripping, thoughtful, full of temperament, fearless” (Concert Artists Guild, New York), NEW TRINITY BAROQUE has been recognized as one of the leading early music ensembles in the world today. Founded in London in 1998, and having its base in Atlanta (USA) for many years, the ensemble has been following its founder Predrag Gosta and frequently collaborates with various international soloists from the UK, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Sweden, etc. The group performs on period instruments or historical replicas of the instruments from the 17th and 18th centuries. Its repertoire ranges from chamber to orchestral, from oratorios and operas, and its styles from Renaissance to Classical. Notable performances from the past include Monteverdi’s “Vespers”, J.S. Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio”, Pergolesi’s “La Serva Padrona”, Buxtehude’s “Membra Jesu Nostri”, Caldara's "Maddalena ai piedi di Cristo" and more. As an active recording ensemble, NTB published 10 CDs - the latest one featuring Buxtehude’s cantatas “Membra Jesu Nostri”. The musicians of NTB also tour regularly, where they appeared at festivals such as the Korkyra Baroque and the Varaždin Baroque Evenings Festival (Croatia), Sastamala Gregoriana (Finland), and the Belgrade Early Music Festival (Serbia), as well as early music festivals in Boston, Amherst and Charleston (USA).
