Snowdrift is a pixel-art flash game surrounding the day to day survival of the protagonist Sam: an elderly man living in 'the winterlands' after an epidemic of carnivorous darkness envelops the rest of the world. After losing his wife and daughter to it he strives to keep himself alive; in gameplay terms maintaining three health bars for food, water and fatigue. It's an interesting combination of a wilderness scavenging and exploration game as you guide Sam through a maze-like forest, but also horror influences are obvious when Sam begins having horrific hallucinations as his bars deplete, and he's visited in the middle of the night by a cloaked figure who seems to speak for the darkness itself and demands of him 'What makes you different from the others?'
