DragBoss Garage: Assembling Menscer Motorsports Coil Over Shocks For 69 Cougar/Mustang, Thanks Craig
This video shows the removing and assembling of the new Mark Menscer Motorsports coil over shocks for the DragBoss Cougar. Thanks also Richard Lavoie for the cool Ford stickers, and Ray Be'langer for making the custom DragBoss Garage stickers. What do you guys think of them? Comment below. Also thanks Darin Morgan for giving me the heads up on the Dotco grinder, 2 months to come in, can't wait to try it out.
So if you have been following along, you know of my frustrations with the new front end set up, with the custom rack and pinion unit. I had the alignment, and found out that with 2 degrees of positive castor, the tire was hitting the front fender on the right. The left side was 1.8 degrees. Instead of trying to shim the front upper control arms, that already had shims. I decided to go with total control products, adjustable upper control arms. At that time my buddy Mike Weaks, suggested I should switch to coil over set up. The front shocks that I got from Mark Menscer, back in 2013, when I was dragging the bumper, cured the giant wheel stands. Now the wheels would only come up about two feet, perfect for me. Well those shocks are the prototype models he made for the 69 Cougar/Mustang, and other Ford products, that use that type of shock. He sponsored me with them. Thanks again Mark. So the shocks were already a coil over type without the spring. So I called and talked with Craig, and he said, I can take care of it. I took pics and sent them to him, and he sent me a set of 450 lb coil over springs, and attaching hardware.. Thanks for the sponsorship Menscer Motorsports.
I thought that they may be an issues with the top mount, but to my surprise, the will bolt right in....Hopefully.
