Diving with South Africa's Sharks

This is the mostly-final edit of the video footage from my two diving excursions in South Africa this year. The first was above "The Canyon" - a 3000-foot deep gorge running along the African continental shelf about 40 miles offshore from Cape Town on S.A.'s west coast. The second was in the Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area just a few miles offshore from Durban in the KwaZulu-Natal on the east coast. Definitely the most "out there" thing I have ever done; fascinating, exciting, but peaceful - no sense of danger, no fear. These creatures are exceptionally beautiful and are a misunderstood but crucial part of our oceans. They remind me of curious puppies...
