Snowstorm strands motorists in Sweden as extreme cold grips Scandinavia

Parts of Sweden, Denmark and Finland have been hit by a snowstorm and an extreme cold spell, disrupting transport and schools. In Sweden, 1,000 cars were trapped in snow overnight on a main road in the south of the country.
