In this video I discuss my perspective on dealership markups or Additional Dealer Markups (ADMs). To me, it’s just shear greed. Please don’t fall victim to this crap... I don’t care how much money you have, you shouldn’t throw $5-10K down the drain in this fashion. Heck, even if you’re a millionaire... you should save this money and treat your trophy wife to a day at the Spa...

This is such a neat-sighted approach, it doesn’t have the customer in mind. This is something a dealership does when they only care about their bottom line, not their relationships within the community. Selling a vehicle at MSRP will foster a much higher levels of trust and appreciation from the customer. The customer will WANT to come back for services and future vehicle purchases. But when that customer realizes they overpaid substantially, they’ll likely have a sour taste in their mouth about the dealership. They will likely feel taken advantage of it (which they should). The long term effects of ADMs is not good for fostering trust and earning return business.
