NC500 | Finding the Perfect Scottish White Sand Beach (Achmelvich)

In this video, I'll be on a mission finding the perfect Scottish white sand beach on the NC500.

Along the NC500 is Achmelvich Beach and Clachtoll Beach both perched on the edge of the Assynt Region. In the morning, I complete a circular walk around Clachtoll's beaches and village taking in 2 white sand beaches, a broch, a bothy, sheep shearing pens and a bunch of alpacas. I take a short, but stunning drive between the 2 beaches through winding single track roads past loch's to be greeted by the sun at Achmelvich beach. Here we take time to enjoy playing boules and frisbee on the beach as well as explore the headland either side, discovering yet another beach. Both Achmelvich and Clachtoll are a stunning Scottish white sand beach.
