When you think about one of the world’s tallest and highest bridges, with a superb architectural design, then think Millau Viaduct. This beauty is located in France and is way taller than the world-renowned Eiffel Tower. Wow, that’s simply some high heights.

Millau Viaduct stands as one of the world’s most impressive landmark creations in engineering. This genius of a bridge spans a whole 2.4 kilometers and stands at 270 meters above the river below, connecting Paris to Montpellier.

This bridge is so unique and high up that a lot of technical difficulties were faced during its construction. Because of its looming danger, about seven pylons were used to support this bridge instead of just two.

The spectacular Millay Viaduct is undoubtedly one of the world’s tallest bridges and one that would scare the wits out of those with the phobia for heights.
#9 – Kuandinsky Bridge, Russia

Picture walking or driving on a bridge that looks like it is uncompleted, or better still, rotting away, then you don’t have to look so far. The Kuandinsky Bridge fits that description perfectly.

Located in Russia, the Kuandinsky bridge stretches over 570 meters long and 2 meters wide over the Vitim River in the region of Siberia. And there is no doubt that it is definitely one of the most dangerous bridges in the world.

What makes it so peculiarly scary is the fact that this road bridge has no railings whatsoever, so an accidental fall of a vehicle into the frozen river below is very much a possibility. Another perturbing fact is that the construction of this bridge has not been completed, even though its construction has commenced several decades ago.

Apart from the fact that safety of this bridge is not guaranteed, it is also known that no major repairs have ever been done on the bridge. What you get to see on this bridge are rusted metal and rotten wooden planks that are weather beaten over the years and have become degenerated.

So if you don’t want to experience fixing a bridge as you attempt to cross it, or trying to prevent your car from falling off the edge; then you should probably think again before going on this bridge.
