Richard Zhang: From Data Scientist to Top Tier VC Investor

Recently I had a privilege to interview Richard Zhang, PhD, Chief of Staff and Director of Accelerator at Pear VC 🍐.

Richard shared with me his interesting, non-linear career journey from beginnings as an AI researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Massachusetts General Hospital, being drawn to community building and a transition to becoming a VC investor for a top-tier investment firm. We also talked about rookie founder mistakes, the unique challenges of AI startups, and the most exciting trends in the space.
