Texas House votes to replace STAAR tests

The Texas House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to replace the state's public education assessment tests, sending that policy now to the Texas Senate. If signed into law, it would replace the controversial STAAR tests with up to three shorter tests for students between third and eighth grade.
