Jehovah's Witnesses Scientist drowning Cabernet Sauvignon Demon

Hans Kristian Kotlar and Rolf Furuli are the only two Norwegian academic doctors that defend the theory that Jerusalem was destroyed in 607bce and not 587bce.

This theory is very important to Jehovah Witnesses since they use the year 607bce to calculate when Jesus threw Satan and the demons down to earth.

If Jerusalem was destroyed in 587bce, Satan and the demons would have landed on earth in 1934 instead of 1914 and this make a big differense for all beliving Jehovah Witnesses. (After all, Jesus chose the governing body as his "faithfull slave" in 1919 and not in 1939)

Dr. Hans Kristian Kotlar was an Jehovah Witness elder in my congregation i Heimdal Norway.
We have been out knocking doors together, and been to parties together. I really do think he is a nice guy. However the religion bans Dr Kotlar from having contact with former members, and therefor we have no contact p.t.

The Jehovah Witness religion have a de facto ban on "higher education" and parents are asked to stop their children from going to university. As an Jehovah Witness elder, Kotlar know that any of his elder friends might loose their title if their children go to university.

This rule is to be find in the secret elders manual.

I never liked the hypocrisy of an religious organisation that hinder childrens education, while boasting that they have members with doctorates to promote the faith.

As a human rights activist, I would like to remind Dr Hans Kristian Kotlar of the Rights of the Child article 12 & 13 that the Jehovah Witness religion violates. Children in the Heimdal congregation of Jehovah Witnessses should have the right to higher education just as the young Kotlar himself benefitted from. This anecdote from my recollection is not ment as a critisism on him as a person. The critizism targets his elderhood and the de facto ban on education that the governing body promotes.

It's fair to mention that the Jehovah's Witnesses in Trondheim is very liberal, compared to the rest of Norway. Maybe H.K. Kotlar is a good influence working within the system, like Rolf Furuli used to be before he wrote his book critizising the governing body.

As a Jehova Witness child my father decided I was not allowed to have higher education. No one told me that my fathers motivation was that he himself would loose his title as "elder" in the congregation. The children of Dr. Kotlars congregation do not have access to the secret elders book that regulate these matters, even after being baptized. If I had access to the elders manual, I would never have been baptized. I therefor feel that critizism is needed.

I still see Hans Kristian Kotlar as a friend. But since he is a part of a system that oppress childrens right to higher education, I want to point out how redicoulus the Jehova Witness religion is. And how the constant fear moungering will make even grown ups with an academic background do stupid things out of fear for demons. Most JWs would not throw away good wine, and I dont think he would do it today.

People say that converts are the worst, and new cult members will often take extreme beliefs litterally in the begining. But the story about the demon posessed chilenian wine, is something he and his wife told me about themself, and we can all agree its a fun story.

If Hans Kristian Kotlar would like to correct the story, or debate why childrens rights to higher education chould be limited by the governing body, I am more then willing to invite him for an interview on this channel.

But if not, I wish him and his wife all the best.

He is a great guy with a good sence of humor. I am sure he understand the irony, parody and appreciates the valid critizism.
