Warrior 3 is a single leg balance pose and combined hip hinge. The support of a chair adds a layer of progression and possibility while balancing on one leg. Sensing the body in space, moving outward from the heart center, lifting up, rooting down, and reaching forward and extending back all at the same time requires concentration and awareness. After warming up with a few hip hinges and single leg standing with opposite knee flexion/extension, try Warrior 3 with the support of a chair on a non-skid surface. Hold the pose for a few rounds of inhale and exhale and then switch sides.
