Part 4 - Alice Springs to Birdsville and Brisbane - Our Outback Adventure in a Patriot Campers X3

While the wet weather stopped us crossing the Simpson Desert our outback adventure saw us completely circumnavigate it, including being at both start and end points of the Madigan Line, Old Andado and Birdsville. We've planned to try the crossing again in 2022.

Our trip home from Alice Springs took us across the Plenty Highway, down the Queensland channel country to Birdsville, then eastward across the Diamantina plains and onward to Brisbane. It was a brilliant trip, highly recommended for anyone with an appreciation for Australian history before and after European settlement of this arid and remote part of the world.
