More or Less Herb Crops: Should You Add More, Drop Some, or Change Some?

The perennial question all farmers face: do we add more crops to our mix, drop some, or change some? Herb growers are no different. Is the next crop too many? Are current crops facing pressures of commoditization? Are new varieties worth a look? It doesn't matter if we are growing fresh herbs for the produce and restaurant markets, dried botanicals for the natural health products market, or plants for the garden market. Conrad Richter, president of Richters Herbs, doesn't profess to have the answers but in this video he provides insights from production and marketing points of view.
