Shop Closing (Nook’s Cranny) - Animal Crossing New Horizons (Trumpet Duet)

Happy one year to New Horizons!

Thought I’d make a cover of one of the songs that I felt I regretted never covering last year. Also I felt closing off the past year with a closing theme was fitting. When covering it, I wanted to make a duet since I haven’t made one in over a year (since the other Animal Crossing duet haha). I thought it would be fun to have the second part reference a bunch of other Animal Crossing themes, so in the first half, it plays a variation of the same melody from Nook’s Cranny during the day, and in the second half, it responds with each of the Animal Crossing’s title themes, going from GameCube, to Wild World/City Folk, then to New Leaf, and ending on Pocket Camp before the piano plays New Horizons’ theme. Figured this would be a nice celebration of the whole series!

Through the video, you’ll get to see the many screenshots and memories that have come from the our island: Breaktide. Think of this like a time capsule for everything I want to remember from the island. Sadly, I don’t have the cartridge on me now since my sister got her own Switch and started her own island with it (and she got heckin Raymond! How?!), but I do have those screenshots which is why I used them instead. You’ll get to see things like the start of the island, random conversations, nice scenery, accomplishments, weird decorations I made (like my room of 4 oarfish), a few dates I went on with my girlfriend, and the things my sister did before she moved out! Lots of things have happened on Breaktide, and making this was a nice way to look back on all of it.

Aside from this, I also haven’t uploaded in a bit since I hit a rough patch and went to focus on school, but hopefully I’m back in the rhythm of things enough to make more covers! I have a few genre switch videos planned, so hopefully they get done quick!
