Gareth Southgate has officially resigned from his position as England national team manager. The Euro 2024 final against Spain will be Southgate's last match.

In the Euro 2024 final last weekend, England had to recognize Spain's superiority. In the final match at the Olympiastadion, Berlin, Monday (15/7/2024) early morning WIB, Tiga Singa lost with a score of 1-2.

"As a proud Englishman, it is an honor in my life to be able to play and be England manager. It means everything to me and I have given everything," said Southgate on the FA website as reported by the BBC.

"But it's time for change and a new chapter. Sunday's final in Berlin against Spain is my last game as England manager."

Southgate was appointed as England manager in November 2016. For eight years, Southgate took England to the finals of Euro 2020 and 2024, the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup and the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Southgate led England in 102 matches. During Southgate's management, England recorded 61 wins, 24 draws and 17 defeats.
