The Ohio State University small-scale aquaponic build

The Ohio State University small-scale aquaponic build for a joint project with Central State University. System was built on University of Virgin Islands and Kentucky State University research. Different primary filtration (e.g. swirl filtration) techniques are likely to be investigated during this project. Greenhouse bay spacing limits our opportunity to add a common third filter for reach system- a MBBR. However, mineralization tanks were added to each independent system to increase water and nutrient conservation after finishing videoing. Contact Matt Smith at smith.11460@osu.edu for aquaponic/aquaculture questions or to schedule a tour. This work is funded by USDA NIFA (Grant no. 2017-38821-26411) to Project Director Dr. Kumar Nedunuri with Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.

*This system is located at OSU South Centers in Piketon, Ohio.
