Ascending the New Alexander Zuckermann Bicycle / Pedestrian Path on Opening Day

The new Alexander Zuckermann Bicycle / Pedestrian Path on the eastern span of the Bay Bridge officially opened at noon on September 3rd, 2013.

Mayor Quan led a group ride from downtown Oakland to the path with other city officials, bicycle coalitions, the Zuckermann family and local residents and was the first to arrive at the end of the path.
